Peter was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area where he earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of San Francisco. He spent twelve years working in the business world for IBM Corp, eight years in outside sales with various companies, then six years in private practice as a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist. In 2008 he graduated from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado where he received his MA in Contemplative Psychotherapy. For the last 13-years he has led treatment groups for men convicted of sexual offenses. Now he is licensed in Colorado to work as a Clinical Psilocybin Facilitator and is owner of Sacred Symbiosis Healing Center located on 5.4 acres in the Wet Mountains of Westcliffe, Colorado.

He has specialized in working with men for over twenty years, helping them heal wounds that are specifically men’s issues. Our culture has put all of us in a “box” of sorts; has narrow-mindedly relegated cis-gender females to specific roles and cis-gender males to other specific roles. All genders need healing; all humans need healing. None of us are free until we are all free; free to be ourselves without being judged, without being harmed. Men’s issues are unique in that in some ways those issues are invisible; the reason being men have been taught to be strong, to suffer in silence, to never ask for help, to suppress their pain.

This “Man Box” of suppressing emotions other than anger, to not cry, to not ask for help, to never show any form of “weakness” is a recipe for disaster and is tied to why men in this country commit suicide almost four times as often as women.
